This the 2nd part of the #31daysoftarot2020 Challenge. The first part is posted here https://www.joyincreation.com/2020/01/17/31-days-of-tarot-2020-community-challenge-1-3/

12. The Divination tool outside Tarot that you used the most in 2019
Runes and scrying.

13. Where would you like to be with your tarot practice in 10 years time?
I feel the tarot is a journey that never ends, it is the Fool’s Journey and we move through cycles as we evolve in our practice. I want to create more balance between my reading business (Joy in Creation, where you are right now) and my “normal” day time desk job, where I now work full time. Perhaps even working as a tarot reader full time and combining this with other tarot services such as workshops and creating tarot and oracle decks. On the other hand I think part time desk job and part time tarot reader would be the perfect balance. For now this is not financially possible.

14. Do you have tarot tattoos, art, home decor to share or want?
Tattoo will probably be set this year. I am still feeling which tattoo and where, I have two ideas to choose from. One is an old style gypsy hand holding the cards and the other is a tarot sigil. The latter would be easier as it is smaller and would go on my wrist. The larger one would probably go on my left upper arm. I am thinking about this one a bit longer as I am running out of skin (well not really, but I don’t want to be totally covered up and I want my tattoos to match and be in a certain same style – which would be Asian). I will not have it done until I feel certain. Also I need to save money, the small one on the wrist will probably not be too much but the large one on the arm would cost, well an arm 😉 .

For home decor, not really, I did buy some tarot tapestries but I don’t really like the way they look on my walls. I don’t have much space to hang anything, so I use the tapestries on the bed and couch. My decks themselves are home decor as I have decks everywhere. And I always pull a card of the day that I put on my altar.
And art yes and please see here: https://www.joyincreation.com/my-tarot-deck/

15. What is your favorite pop culture tarot reader/representation and why?
The first person that comes to mind is the wonderful Kelly-Ann Maddox. I resonate with her energy, I like the way she speaks, her authenticity and empowering videos and readings. Shadow work baby yes! And I am in awe of Benebell Wen, a walking book of knowledge and information. Incredibly creative. Her work output is inspiring and I sometimes wonder if she sleeps. The speed at which she speaks of so many subject sometimes does my head in, but my what an inspiring woman. I also always enjoy Truth in Story’s videos. But there are many more as I am a bit of a YouTube/tarot junkie and there are a lot of favorites.

16. Paint, draw, collage your 2020 Tarot card. Why have you chosen this card?
I sort of cheated on this one as I am using the card for my upcoming DIY tarot deck. My birthday added to 2020 comes to 20, so the card is Judgement. The card tells me I am close to reaching a significant stage in my journey. I am at the crossroads and need to make a life-changing decision. I have done a lot of shadow work in the past years, reviewed and evaluated my past experiences and I hope I have learned from them, so I can now make this decision with proper judgement and clarity.

17. What celebrity would you read for and why?
Hmm I don’t know. I am not much into celebrities. All of them are welcome if they need guidance from the tarot. But having to name names I would say I would like to read for Tom Hiddleston or James McAvoy, but I probably would find it too hard to focus on the reading, so I guess not such a good idea 😉

18. Your choice for best deck for meditation/journeywork.
Well that would be the Soul Cards hands down, but this is not a tarot deck. For tarot I would say the Tarot of the Spirit, a deck painted by Joyce Eakins. Centered on the Qabbalistic Tree of Life, this symbolism clearly explores the Minor Arcana as a representation of the four components of life: spirit, emotion, intellect, and body; while it reveals the Major Arcana to be the keys to our emotional response patterns to the symbolic universe in which we live. The LWB includes seven monthly meditations.

19. Your choice for best deck for ritual/magic.
Any deck can be used for ritual and magick, but I do use certain decks especially for this purpose. First and foremost LXXXI – The Quareia Magician’s Deck a collaboration between magical artists Stuart Littlejohn and Cassandra Beanland, and magical adept Josephine McCarthy. All of the paintings are original works of art in oil, acrylic, or water colour, and are the result of three years painting and collaboration.

At the end of the month I will post the final questions of this tarot challenge. I hope you are enjoying this and are inspired to answer these questions yourself. If you would like to share your answers below this post, please do so, welcome!

Thank you for reading and have a very happy new week!
