How are you? I so hope you are well. I am quite worried about the state of the world and how easy people agree to the measures being taken. People don’t seem to question or think for themselves. Well that is a generalization, thankfully I also see a lot more people scratching their heads about the succession of measures being taken to control us and limit human interaction. But generally people attack me quite viciously when I question what is going on. People are policing each other and that is the most scary and mind boggling thing to me.

I am worried about our future, we have seen how it ends in books and movies. I don’t want to go into the details, but a lot of agenda’s are being rolled out here. Did the virus indeed start in China, meaning the regime there now being rolled out in the entire world? And we are all so eager to say yes to it. Yes please control our freedom, yes it is so hard to think for ourselves. How many times have you seen that the Main Stream Media does not show truth? Why don’t people learn?

I am upset and angry about people dying, not from you know the C-word, but from other illnesses that now don’t get treated, from hunger because people can’t afford food, from fights because people are so stressed they lash out at each other and may actually kill each other and people taking their own lives because of worry about the future because they have lost their livelihood or because of loneliness. Seriously it seems like the cure is worse than the cause.

The only good things I can now see is that perhaps people now appreciate human connection and how important socializing is. Also there is a great surge in creativity. Creativity and real connection is what makes us human. Now stuck to our computers all day, we are turning into robots, and we sure are feeding AI great data with all the usage of platforms such as Zoom and Skype. But I was focusing on the good things now. So yes, let’s be human, let’s not forget that this is no life, online, we need real interaction. And we need time offline. I notice how very drained and tired I am now I work from home. I feel like I am switched on all day and night and am sleeping poorly. Normally I switch everything off when I go home, my home is my quiet sanctuary and I sleep like a rose. But now the lines are blurred, I do need to take measures, strong boundaries, as we are stuck inside for at least three more weeks and it wouldn’t surprise me if it will be a lot longer.

Reset

Another positive thing is to see clear skies and nature thriving. Earth presses the reset button to bring life back into balance. Perhaps that is what humanity needs, we need a reset, a do-over, I am sure we have done this many times before, think of floods and fires. A nice clean slate. I hope not, I hope we have learned and will rise, but looking around me, I am not so sure if it isn’t a good idea to start anew. The effect is visible (and tangible) in cleaner air and brighter skies.

So this is a good time to reset ourselves on a personal scale. On a mental, emotional, spiritual and physical level. It is important to keep tabs on yourself in all areas. Cleaning house, clearing your head, purging your emotions and surrendering to your Higher Self. It is time to let the old go, old thought forms, old beliefs, old limitations, old suppressed emotions and habits that limit us. Time to detoxify. It is now up to us to make a difference and if we all adjust our beliefs that we can make this world a beautiful place, than we can, and this world starts with you in your energy field, and in mine. We all need to re-focus and not be distracted by the fun and games that are going on. We need to examine our thoughts and behaviors and be aware of what we are putting out.

Which way are we all headed? Nobody knows. The question is what are we going to do differently?

I hear people say: “when this is over, we just pick up the thread again, and we go on where we left off.” Is that so? Can we even continue how we always did? Personally I don’t believe that’s the purpose of this reset. In the past few days I myself have asked myself “what am I going to do differently”? The interesting thing about it was that it actually unfolds by itself. I can’t get my head around that, but it is an inner knowing that certain actions and behaviors just don’t fit anymore in that new age that has already begun.

I think it is therefore up to humanity which way we will go. Are we all picking up on the lessons that are now being given to us, are we all waking up to continue to evolve or are we stuck in the old?

I wish you a good spring cleansing and a deeper understanding of yourself and the world we live in. Let us all learn and learn for good this time.

Spring time

Last weekend we switched to Summertime (Daylight Saving Time). I was not aware and thankfully no appointments to screw up this year, which I do every year as I forget about Winter- and Summertime and find myself an hour too late or too early at a social engagement. I don’t watch the news so I don’t really get a reminder of this. This time I just lost an hour of this day, poof gone. And another week of jetlag feelings, I can never get used to this stupid invention of DST.

In The Netherlands we have been blessed by beautiful (DRY!!) and sunny weather for the past weeks, only the relentless winds (of change?) don’t seem to quiet down, today it is stormy again. But green is returning and there are flowers popping up everywhere. Nature is regaining it’s life.

Usually the first signs of Spring has people here running for the terraces and beaches, but not this year, all is quiet, the city is like from a dystopian film, empty, it is truly eerie. But walking by myself in the ‘wood’ near my house I am overwhelmed by Spring jitters and they are signaling me to change course.

Springen means to jump in Dutch, I feel the time of Spring is a time to jump into new ventures and new ways of going about our lives. Now we see this happening on a global scale, but this is surely the case on a personal level.

This is not a time to turn inward, this is a time of connection, connect to all that is and to ourselves. Be in communion with everything and expand out. Slow down, listen deeply, feel how everything is connected and reach out to others.

Celebrate Spring

There are so many ways to bring the season of Spring into our lives such as planting seeds (I cleaned my balcony yesterday and will plant new seeds and bulbs today as I had to order them online this year as the shops are closed – the potting soil and seeds and bulbs for herbs and plants were delivered yesterday). While planting the seeds it is powerful to envision and empower the seeds with your intentions and every time you feed the seeds, re-affirm your desires and take actions needed to make your dreams come true. Now with the waxing moon it is a perfect time to plant seeds. Now is also a good time for cleaning. Cleaning house (I did my kitchen cabinets this weekend), but also a spiritual, mental, physical and emotional cleaning – I find that physical house cleaning helps me clean these energetic bodies as well, nothing more therapeutic than cleaning and clearing house). And being locked in our houses, for those of you that are still allowed outside, I invite you to be very mindful of your natural surroundings. Notice nature, really look at what is unfolding, the budding trees, the bird’s song, the sweet smell of blossoms. Use all your senses and experience nature, let it merge with you and feed you. If you can’t go outside, see if you can meditate and visualize (now this is not the right word as I would like you to try and use all your senses, not just your vision) this experience, try, practice and you will see this gets easier. And Springtime is perfect to try something new, what is it that you have always wanted to do or perhaps something you started to think of recently, start doing it now, don’t let this lock-down stop you, be creative and perhaps this out is an opportunity for you to see where your priorities are so you can more easily make this decision and make time for this new venture. Stretch out of your comfort zone. We are collectively being stretched beyond our boundaries and certainties, perhaps this is the perfect time to Spring….Jump!

Tarot reading for Spring

Whether we handle the inevitable setbacks with grace and dignity, or by screaming at the world, or somewhere in between, the important part is to get back up and keep seeking that impossible target of perfect balance. This whole C-word craziness has dealt the entire world an unbalancing upset. For almost the entire world, all the normalcies of life are completely pulled out from under our feet, leaving us to seek out a completely new balance in our lives.

I did this Spring reading for myself and invite you to ask the cards for inspiration yourselves (or ask me to read the cards for you if you like). I hope it brings you clarity and inspiration.

  1. What’s being reborn? – The King of Swords shows me that I need to speak my truth and stop censoring myself out of fear of being misunderstood and shunned. I need to step into my authority, especially now authority and control is pushed on us so heavily. I stand in my own power, I stand strong with my principles and will challenge old fears around speaking my truth.
  2. What are you hoping for? – Ah good old Seven of Cups, I know this card well, it shows me once again that I have to decide, I need to choose and focus and follow my true calling. Again let go of the fear of not picking the right thing, deep down I know, fear just continues to talk me out of it.
  3. What step can I take towards my dream? – Two of Pentacles tells me to continue to move forward and be proud of my accomplishments. Make that choice and adapt and stop trying to juggle it all, because I will then drop my balls (marbles?) at some point. Find my balance and stop putting of the inevitable dreams I wait for. Do what drives me to rise and I will thrive.

Breathe, be kind to yourself, be kind to others, and be communicative, listen to one another and don’t judge, blame or shame. Only then we can get through this together.

Let’s balance all this Yang energy with compassion, reflection, cooperation, vulnerability, and…. magic.
